The single button coat is often used as a tuxedo coat, with its very low midline (buttoning slightly above the waist) and long lapels. Rarely do you see a single button coat on a suit, and it will probably be only used for the most formal of occasions. It’s a very unique look, and if the suit or tux is tailored correctly, it should compliment a man of any shape.
